When the Christians can’t argue with the science anymore, they try to incorporate it, or rather, to hand hammer it, into their belief system. This time around it’s the science of paleontology. No more of this, “Fossils were put their by God to test us” or “by the Jews to screw us” crap! No, here’s the new story, man and dinosaurs lived together!
Welcome to the Creation Museum! “PREPARE TO BELIEVE” (That’s their tagline.)
The beauty in this, for me, is that I don’t have to make up a goddamn thing. They’ve done al the work for me. Like when SNL thanked the Republican party for all the material.
Ok, so we lived with dinosaurs. Adam and Eve lived with dinosaurs.

Here’s a misunderstanding –
typical of the Christian right – of the scientific process: “One set of
bones, two interpretations. How can two paleontologists, digging the
same dinosaur fossil in the field, reach opposite conclusions?
The answer: starting points. Fossils don’t come with labels. We must
begin with assumptions! But which is correct?” (circle 11) Wrong. We
start with evidence and go where it leads.
“Imagine life without pain or fear. Our first parents walked with
God—just as their Creator planned.” (circle 14) So Adam and Eve were not
afraid of the meat eating dinosaurs with whom they coexisted? What the
fuck?
Oh, wait, here it is. “T. rex—the real king of the beasts. That’s the
terror that Adam’s sin unleashed!” (circle 19) This is fucking great!
T-rex was unleashed on humans because of Adam’s sin! That’s beautiful!
And his family, the only people on the planet, was able to survive and
incestuously populate the earth!
And then of course Noah…blah blah de fucking blah.
And check this out.
“Witness the confusion of languages at the Tower of Babel and the
subsequent dispersion of peoples. Unravel the mystery of the origin of
the so-called ‘races.’ Discover how the science of anthropology actually
confirms the Bible’s history!” (circle 31) Yea! Racism as justified in
the Bible. Does this Museum allow blacks?
And does this include sign
language?
The sad thing about this is that this museum complex cost many millions
of dollars. How many children could have been educated and/or fed with
that money?
